Does this sound like your evening?

  1. You sit down to make something and end up scrolling instead.
  2. There are two unfinished projects in the drawer and you are not opening them.
  3. You have told yourself you cannot draw, so this is not for you.

The last one is the only one we can settle right now: you never draw anything. You trace lines that are already on the page.

Is this for you?

This is for you if

  • you want a finished piece tonight, not a project that takes a month
  • you own a Cricut or a laser cutter and never have anything good to cut
  • you like following a line more than inventing one
  • you give handmade gifts and want them to look like they came from a shop

This is not for you if

  • you want real leaded glass with cutting and soldering: this is paint on a surface
  • you want a physical kit in the post: these are files you print
  • you want someone to design something custom for you

Four reasons this one sticks

🪙

It costs almost nothing to start

A bottle of liquid leading, a set of glass paints, and a sheet of acetate or an old picture frame. Under fifteen dollars, and the frame you already own counts.

🌙

It is quiet work

Tracing takes the same part of your attention that scrolling takes, and gives something back.

✏️

You do not need to draw

Every line is printed. You follow it. That is the whole skill.

☀️

It holds light

This is the only thing on your shelf that changes through the day.

Liquid leading, glass paints and an old picture frame laid out on a table

240 patterns, and five files for every one of them

A4

A4 PDF

Sized to the page with a 36pt margin. Prints at home with no resizing and no cropped edges.

LETTER

US Letter PDF

The same pattern laid out for Letter paper, so nothing is cut off on a US printer.

SVG

Vector file

Scale one pattern up to a door panel or down to a coaster and the lead lines stay sharp.

DXF

Cutting file

Opens in Cricut Design Space, Silhouette Studio and laser software, ready to cut.

NUMBERED

Numbered sheet

The same pattern with every cell numbered, to plan your colours before you open a bottle.

×240

Every pattern, every format

1,200 files in all, filed in six collections and three levels so you can find one in twenty seconds.

Moon pattern Hydrangea pattern Art nouveau iris pattern Peacock pattern Luna moth pattern Nativity pattern Art deco pattern Cherry blossom pattern

Eight of the 240, printed exactly as you get them.

Print the sheet, then make this.

If you own a Cricut or a laser cutter

Most pattern sets are flat PDFs, so the machine has nothing to read. Every pattern here comes as a DXF as well, so you can cut stencils, acrylic shapes and glass templates from the same file you print.

Three steps, and the first one is printing

A printed pattern sheet taped under a clear acetate sheet1

Print and place

Print the sheet at 100%. Tape it face up, then tape acetate, glass or an old frame on top. You work on the clear surface and trace what you see underneath.

Hands tracing black liquid leading along the printed lines2

Trace and fill

Run the liquid leading along every black line, keeping the tip on the surface. Let it set until it is firm, one to two hours. Then flood each cell with colour, one at a time.

A finished piece held up against the light3

Let it catch the light

Leave it flat overnight, then hang it where the sun comes in.

Panels worth framing, and worth charging for.

The beginner and the person with the laser are not looking for the same thing, so they are not in the same folder.

You are allowed to sell what you make

The licence is written out in full and it comes inside the download. You may sell the finished pieces you make from these patterns, at a craft fair, in a shop, or online. You may not resell or give away the pattern files themselves.

Karen LovellPrinted the lantern sheet on Sunday, finished it last night 🙂 Kept the paper under the glass the whole time — the lines did all the work. First one ever, and the second sheet is already printed 😄 Painted glass lantern glowing on a table at dusk

Rosa MorningsideMy hands shake a bit now, so I'd given up on anything fiddly. Turns out tracing a thick line is fine — did the hallway mirror for my daughter 🥹 Mirror edged with a painted glass border in a bright hallway

Corsande WhitlockeTotally agree. The numbered sheet makes it so much easier to actually finish a piece without guessing.

Lysandra PenrithExactly! I used to feel lost halfway through a piece. Now I actually know what I'm doing and why. So worth it 🙌🔥

"Why not just use free patterns?"

You can, and some of them are lovely. Here is what you run into at the table, and what a Blueprint sheet does about it.

A free printable

  • ×One image, one size. Enlarge it for a door panel and the lines go soft.
  • ×Lines that stop halfway, so the cell never closes. You find out with the leading already down and the paint running into the next cell.
  • ×No numbering, so you plan the colours in your head and hope.
  • ×Nothing a Cricut or a laser can read.
  • ×Personal use only, almost always. Selling what you make is not covered.
  • ×No order to it: twenty minutes of hunting before you print.

A Blueprint sheet

  • Five files: A4, US Letter, SVG, DXF and the numbered sheet.
  • Every cell closes. Drawn to be leaded, not to be coloured in.
  • The numbered sheet, so you plan the colours in pencil first.
  • A DXF that opens in Design Space, Silhouette Studio and laser software.
  • A written resale licence for the pieces you make.
  • 240 sheets in six collections and three levels: you choose in twenty seconds.
A drawing with open lines that do not close the cells
Our own first draft. Veins inside the petals, lines that stop, a background left empty. Pretty on paper, impossible to lead.
The same bouquet redrawn with every cell closed
The sheet we ship. Same bouquet, every cell closed, background tiled, nothing under a centimetre once printed on A4.

We threw the first one away. That is the whole difference, and it is why these are sheets and not pictures.

Try it for thirty days

Use the patterns for thirty days. If by then this craft is not for you, write to us any time between day 30 and day 60 and we refund you in full. You keep the files: chasing downloads back is not a thing we do.

We ask for the thirty days because nobody can tell from one printed sheet whether a craft suits them.

Still have questions?

Do I need to know how to draw?

No. Every line is already printed. You trace it, and that is the whole skill.

What do I need to buy?

Liquid leading, glass paints, and a surface: acetate sheets, an old picture frame, or a jar. Under fifteen dollars to start, and the full list is in the download.

Is this real stained glass?

No, and that is the point: no glass cutting, no soldering, no kiln. The finished piece looks like leaded glass and catches the light the same way.

What surfaces work?

Acetate, glass, plexiglass, jars, mirrors and window panes.

Can I really sell what I make?

Yes. The licence covers the finished pieces you make. It does not cover reselling the files.

Is this a physical product?

No. You download the files straight after paying, and nothing ships.

How long do I have access?

There is no expiry, and the seasonal additions land in the same folder.

Tonight, instead of scrolling, make something that glows.

240 patterns, five files each, yours for $37 until the launch ends.
